Materials

Tools

1.5mm hex or T6 Torx screwdriver

Philips head screwdriver, between 00 and 1 size

Guitar pick, prying tool, or plastic card (optional)

A small dish for screws (optional)

Steps

<aside> 🪛 Be careful! The plastics Anbernic used for this console are very brittle. When tightening screws and removing buttons, be very careful to not damage the plastic with excess force.

Open the console

Remove the 6 screws from the back of the RG35XX. They are 1.5mm hex heads.

Using your fingernail or a card, pry the two halves of the shell apart. There are locking features that hold them together, so you’ll have to use some force.

Open up and rotate the screen side out of the way. You can optionally unplug the battery instead.
The volume rocker and the power/reset buttons will easily fall out. Consider removing and putting aside so they don’t get lost.
