Process

Removing the Stock Buttons

  1. Place the Miyoo Mini on a table with the back up. Put something soft under it to avoid scratching the screen.
  2. Remove the battery door and battery. Carefully unplug the battery from the JST connector if you have a later version of the Mini.
    1. I recommend pulling on the wires, as the connector on the device is very fragile.
  3. Unscrew the 6 screws on the back of the Mini. There are four at the corners and two in the battery compartment
  4. Remove the back cover and put the front aside.
  5. Remove the stock buttons by pressing inwards from the outside to dislodge the clips. Do this for all four buttons.
    1. If you find this difficult, you can use a small flathead screwdriver to loosen the button from the clip, using the flathead as a lever underneath the bar of the button.
